Legacy

After 30 years of running, operating, managing, and overseeing an 8-acre farm I’ve accomplished thousands of goals.

I’ve overcome a myriad of obstacles, planted thousands of trees, plants, veggies, and fruits. We’ve gathered and harvested multiple thousands of eggs, turned over the soil, replaced fence posts, reservoirs, plumbing, sprinkler heads, and much more. These are the maintenance and mundane requirements for running a successful ranch. Now, I want to help others run a successful life based on the things I’ve learned, endured, and overcome running a successful ranch. For example, I’d love the opportunity to instill in young boys and girls patience. Farming teaches you patience, discipline, and follow-through. It’s inherent in the process. The best part is the reward at the end. These Old School core values are lost in society. It would be amazing to provide children and adults on the fringes of society the opportunity to experience complete acceptance by feeding a Billy Goat or grooming a horse. Animals provide a tranquility that unfortunately is rarely experienced in human interactions. Being led by a docent or overseer would enable transformative behaviors to flourish and blossom. Or perhaps a middle schooler trying to determine if they have the temperament to work with animals or livestock. Having a safe space to explore a possible career would make us proud to be a small part of that exploratory process. One of the areas we are intent on expanding and exploring is tying together and confirming the positive aspects that farm life plays in fostering mental/emotional/social health benefits. We will continue with Equine Therapy. We’re investigating Goat Yoga, Health and Wellness, Intermittent Fasting, to name a few.

Going forward I’m looking to expand what making a positive impact can look like. While I’m figuring it out, one thing is for sure: We’re going to make a lot of memories and share a lot of stories around the campfire. We love if you’d be a part of that with us.
